Final Texas Screening – Houston

The final Texas Red Tent Movie screening is tonight in Houston!  The tour has been full of amazing women and truly wonderful nights of women coming together to share in a movie and then share of themselves as well as give to themselves within the Red Tent afterwards.  Whether you have been to a Red Tent before or not…it is so worth attending.

What a great way to kick off the weekend.  Even a great way to show your mom you care and what she means to you to bring her out to the movie and gathering.

Filmmaker Isadora Leidenfrost will be available for Q&A and signings. Following the film, women and girls are also invited to participate in an on-site Red Tent experience.

This event will be held in A.R.E. Houston, 7800 Amelia Rd., Houston 77055.

The film begins at 6:30pm. Red Tent experience to follow at 8:00pm.
Tickets – $15-20

For more information about the film – www.redtentmovie.com

Spontaneous and organic, a Red Tent is a red textile space where women and girls gather to rest, renew, and often share deep and powerful stories about their lives. The Red Tent movement is changing the way that women interact and support each other by providing a place that honors and celebrates women, and by enabling open conversations about the things women don’t want to talk about in other venues. The documentary film “Things We Don’t Talk About: Women’s Voices from the Red Tent” weaves together healing narratives from inside Red Tents around the world to shine a spotlight on this vital, emergent women’s tradition.

Women Envisioning and Doing!

Blessings Red Tent Woman,

Bridigng communitities of women is my personal passion and it seems that 2013 is all about bringing all of my experience to a different way of being.  We will be offering one retreat this year however are networking with several other communities and will be supporting a variety of experiences this year.  Two of those are retreats which are coming up in the first half of the year. The Ways of Women on April 5-7 and How to Depend on Me on June 28-30.  We are excited to be a part of both of these.

I have found a wonderful community of women here in the Houston area which I plan to attend more events with.  Have you heard of Brigid’s Place?  Wow!  I attended the Brigid’s Feast and then the Women’s Seder dinner and both just blew me away.  Please consider taking some “me” time to attend Easter In Memory of Her on March 30.

We had a lovely trip to San Antonio this past weekend setting up our brand new outdoor Red Tent in support of BIRTH, the play.  Check us out!  Does it make your mind start turning?  We seriously have an indoor and outdoor setup now so “Have Tent Will Travel” is a real thing.  Do you have a women’s event you would like to have a special touch for?  Let us know!

In Loving Gratitude and Service,

Tina

Freeing Your Feminine Voice!

We had a wonderful weekend in the Texas Hill Country where we came together in what was sure our biggest Red Tent Experience Retreat with 62 women from Corpus Christi, San Antonio, Dallas, Austin and Houston. It truly was a CommUNITY of women coming together to embrace what is within.

Many things through the weekend focused on Freeing Your Feminine Voice and boy was that embraced by so many. From reclaiming their health, to standing up for toxins in their lives to writing songs and poetry upon coming home. Truly the inner Goddess came out in everyone over the weekend.
